Mason Jar Cap

My hubby is a bee keeper and he just extracted our honey last week.  We always put some jars up that are just for gift giving.  I found this cute fabric with bees on it and made some little caps for my jars. They are so cute and easy to make.

For a regular mouth jar cut a 6 inch circle.
For a wide mouth jar cut a 7 inch circle.
Sew the lace around the edge.
Using 1/8th inch wide elastic, cut a piece 8 inches long.
Starting 3/4 inch from the edge, make a stitch and then backspace to hold the elastic in place.
Change to a zig zag stitch and stretch the elastic as you sew all around the edge of the topper.
