What Salvation Really Is

When God saved me so many years ago, I had no idea what he wanted to do with me. I have never regretted giving my  life to him.  Some think salvation is just saying a prayer. That  IS  all it takes, but salvation is more than saying a prayer and getting a ticket out of hell. It's giving your whole life to God, not holding back one area. . It's letting him take control of your ENTIRE life. God paid a high price for us to be saved. He said it's our reasonable service, to give our life as a living sacrifice to him. That means we are to give up what we want, for what God wants. It doesn't matter if it feels good, if it's fun, if it's what makes us feel comfortable.  A person who is saved, will want to please God and live by his word.  What are some of the things he wants to lead his children in?
What kind of music pleases God?
What kind of clothing pleases God?
What kind of friends pleases God?
How many children does God want you to have?
How does God want you to spend the money that he allows you to have?
How does God want you to spend your time?
How often does God want you to go to church?
What does God want you to do for him?
What does God want you to do when someone does you wrong?
God gave us the word of God, so that we can have the answers to all these questions and more.
He has only the best plans for you life. God can't give us that abundant life if we are holding it back and doing things our way. I see so many who profess to be saved, but they live just like the world. If they were taken to trail for being a Christian, they would not be convicted, because there is not enough evidence. They are counting on a little prayer they said.  They believe in God, but that is not enough. The bible says that the devil believes and trembles. He knows there is a God and he knows his end. Will believing in God get him to heaven? No. And it won't get  you there either. You must give your life to God, every single bit of it. I've never given anything to God and then regretted it. He blesses what you give to him.
When you give God every area, you no longer have to hide things you are doing. You don't have to be ashamed of what you are doing or hope that someone or the preacher doesn't find out. You will have a clear conscience toward every one, because even when you fall, you know that God sees your heart and that you are truly sorry. But if you are truly sorry, you won't keep repeating the same things over and over, every day and just asking forgiveness every day for the same things.  When you get your heart right with God,  you will see how your sin hurts God. How it hurts the cause of   Christ.
Being saved is the very best thing that has ever happened to me.  I am so blessed!!!!

  1. Being saved is the most wonderfully simple thing. Living our beliefs should display our love of God with all our heart, soul and mind. We get to know Him through His holy word and our prayer time - time well spent with Him. Explaining that to someone who hasn't met Him is the really difficult part.

  2. I share the blessing! I can't imagine a life without my precious Jesus. Pleasing Him is my honor.
